We are making every effort to open Strathblane Primary School and Nursery Class tomorrow, Wednesday 8th December. Please note that the school will open a little later to pupils. On Wednesday 8th December we will start the school day at 9:30a.m. to allow us to plan for any necessary adjustments to classes for example – if your child’s class teacher can’t get to the school safely we may have to split classes or the class will be supervised by staff from other schools.

Unfortunately, today ( Tuesday 7th December )the building has suffered from the severe weather and we have burst pipe. Mr Thom is endeavouring to have this fixed. It may cause some ice to form on the cleared path to the main entrance and we are currently trying to resolve this. However, please be cautious and take care when walking to school. As always I would recommend that parents check the websites suggested in the letter sent home last week.

Please note the Primary 7 outing to the MacRobert Theatre and the Primary 6 outing to Edenmill Farm have been cancelled. However, we’re keeping an eye on the weather and hope to able to go ahead with the Primary 3 / 4 outing to the Science Centre on Friday.

I sincerely hope to see everybody on Wednesday.
